No Pseudomonas, Now a new issue

I just returned form my doctor and the pseudomonas is gone. So all the weeks and weeks of antibiotics did their work. However, I now have a yeast infection in my throat. Now the doctor must decide how to treat this new issue.

Oh well at least I did the 5K last weekend.

Oh dear, that must be uncomfortable. I glad the antibiotics did their job on the pseudomonas. They kill the good bacteria, too, though. I take acidophilus capsules with my meals because I am sensitive to casein, a milk protein, so I can't eat yogurt. I don't think they would be enough to cure a yeast infection, but it might help to get that good bacteria going again with active culture yogurt or other source of probiotics.

I remember, in the old days (over 30 years ago), a painting with gentian violet was used to cure yeast infections in the mouths of babies (thrush). My friend's daughter had it. I hope the doctor has a solution for you.

Good for the good news.

Hope that the doc will figure out how to zap the new infection, and soon.
